Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino has denied that he discussed the possibility of a summer move with Barcelona's Lionel Messi after Tuesday's Champions League tie.
Messi is widely expected to leave Camp Nou on a free transfer this summer, and PSG, alongside Manchester City, are said to be the favourites for his signature.
There had been suggestions that Pochettino had discussed a possible switch in the aftermath of the French side's 4-1 win over Barca in the last-16 stage of the Champions League on Tuesday.
However, the PSG manager insisted that there was no conversation about the Argentina international's future when the two individuals engaged.
"With Messi, we just said hello and goodbye," Pochettino told Tot Costa de Catalunya. "We did not talk about his future."
Man City have distanced themselves from suggestions that they are currently in negotiations with the 33-year-old over a summer switch to the Etihad Stadium.
