Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco have both joined the race to sign Eliaquim Mangala from Porto, according to reports in France.
Mangala was targeted by Manchester City in the January transfer window but a proposed move was rumoured to have broken down due to the English club's inability to agree a combined fee for the defender and teammate Fernando.
However, City manager Manuel Pellegrini is believed to be eager to renew his interest in the summer as he looks to add to his defensive options.
The Chilean is now likely to face competition from PSG and Monaco, who are both reported to be eager to bring the France international back to his home country, talkSPORT reports.
