Barcelona defender Jordi Alba was reportedly offered to Manchester City earlier this season.
The Spanish international has developed into one of the best left-backs in European football over the last couple of seasons and the undisputed first-choice for his country.
However, according to Marca, Alba was unhappy at being left out of the Barca XI earlier in the season, which prompted one of his agents to contact City.
The same report has claimed that the contact could have been made in a bid to increase Alba's current salary at Camp Nou.
As it stands, the full-back's Barca deal runs until 2017.
