Manchester City are reportedly lining up a summer move for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.
The champions were given encouragement in their pursuit of the England international earlier this year after the Toffees asked for £50m for the 20-year-old, according to the Daily Mail.
City are now weighing up a big-money move for the Everton youngster, and plan to re-open talks with the Merseyside outfit when the current season ends.
The champions are keen to secure more English talent in an effort to meet European guidelines, and they believe that Barkley is the ideal player.
The Blues star is currently out injured with a knee problem.
