Manchester City are reportedly close to sealing the capture of Sunderland teenager Morten Spencer in a deal worth up to £200,000.
The 14-year-old is regarded as one of the top talents at the Black Cats' academy and has caught the eye of a number of clubs.
According to The Sun, it is City who have won the race to snap up the England youth international, who can operate on the left wing and in attacking midfield.
As well as receiving a six-figure compensation fee, Sunderland will also supposedly be entitled to any future profits.
Spencer is expected to be joined by more English youngsters at the Etihad Stadium in the coming months as City plan to bolster their homegrown talent roster with an eye on the future, having been threatened by UEFA Fair Play sanctions in recent months.
