Manchester City are reportedly plotting a move for outspoken Roma striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.
The Citizens are in the market for a new striker after selling Carlos Tevez to Juventus and Sevilla's Alvaro Negredo has been the name most touted.
However, the Manchester Evening News reports that Osvaldo is also a target for new manager Manuel Pellegrini, although Atletico Madrid are said to be closing in on his signature.
The Argentine-born Italian international, who scored 16 goals for the Giallorossi last season, is renowned for his stubborn - sometimes controversial - attitude.
His previous clubs include Atalanta, Lecce, Fiorentina, Bologna and Espanyol.
