Queens Park Rangers have reportedly emerged as favourites to secure the services of Joleon Lescott this summer.
Lescott is believed to be a target for a number of clubs after Manchester City decided against extending his contract beyond the end of the season.
According to The Mirror, QPR are edging closer to completing a deal to bring him to Loftus Road as they make preparations for their return to the Premier League.
Lescott is also reported to have held talks with West Ham United, who pulled out of negotiations due to his wage demands.
Reports on Friday suggested that the defender had rejected the opportunity to join former manager Roberto Mancini at Galatasaray.
