Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is reportedly planning to make a bid for Manchester City centre-back Joleon Lescott.
Lescott's current contract is due to expire in June and the 31-year-old has featured in just six of the Citizens' 16 first-team matches this season.
Former Man City boss Hughes, who sanctioned a £22m deal to bring Lescott to the Etihad Stadium from Everton in August 2009, is hoping to be reunited with the England international in January, according to The Mirror.
The newspaper also claims that the 2012 Premier League champions could be willing to sell Lescott for as little as £2m in the New Year.
Lescott has been capped 26 times by England at senior international level, but he has not been included in Roy Hodgson's squad for this month's double-header against Chile and Germany.
