The agent of Fabian Ruiz has admitted that a number of "big clubs" have asked about the availability of the Napoli midfielder.
Having starred for the Italian giants since his arrival from Real Betis in 2018, Ruiz has been linked with the likes of Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Although he has acknowledged that no further discussions will be held regarding a new contract until the end of the season, representative Alvaro Torres has revealed that there is widespread interest in the playmaker.
Speaking to Calciomercato, Torres said: "A few months ago, we decided to leave the issue of Fabián's contract to one side. We can return to it at the end of the season.
"It's understandable that some of the big clubs in Europe are interested and have been asking about him. He's spent the last three years playing at a very high level, he's managed to lock down a first choice place in the Spanish national team - something that isn't easy to do with the competition there is, he was the best player at the Under-21 Euros.
"The way he has been evolving, it would be strange if they weren't interested."
Earlier this week, it was suggested that Ruiz would only pen fresh terms at Stadio San Paolo should an affordable release clause be included in his deal.
