Giovanni van Bronckhorst has not ruled out Rangers making more signings before Scotland's 12pm transfer deadline on Monday, amid reported interest in Manchester City starlet James McAtee.
The 19-year-old has been subject to speculation this month over a potential loan exit from the Etihad Stadium, with the likes of Rangers, Brighton & Hove Albion, Leicester City and Southampton all closely monitoring his situation.
Speaking to the press, Van Bronckhorst refused to be drawn on rumours with McAtee but admitted that his side will consider exploring the transfer market in search of reinforcements.
"It is the last days. We can still do some business. I don't know. I don't know who is going. Anything can happen, especially in the last days of the transfer window," the Dutchman said.
"You never know. We will see in a couple of days how our squad will be for the remainder of the season. I am confident we will leave this window better than we started it."
Van Bronckhorst added: "We spoke with many players and have many possibilities we want to add. So far I don't have any news.
"The only news is that Amad [Diallo] is joining us. We are still open and have to be ready for the remainder of the next days. I won't confirm or talk about names other than players who are here and players we have signed."
As well as negotiating a pre-contract agreement to sign Hearts defender John Souttar in the summer, Rangers have also signed Manchester United winger Amad Diallo on loan for the rest of the season. body check tags ::
