Gareth Barry has revealed that he remains hopeful of being recalled to the England national team if he continues to play well for Everton.
The 32-year-old, who is on a season-long loan spell at Goodison Park from Manchester City, earned his last cap for the Three Lions back in June 2012.
"It's something that I definitely wouldn't be turning down at the moment," he told Everton's official website.
"I joined Everton to play regular football and that's still my main target, to get my form going. If an England call comes with that, then fantastic.
"I've always said that I want to play as long as possible and as long as my body and legs allows me to do so."
Barry has won 53 caps for England since making his debut 13 years ago.
