Brazil midfielder Fernandinho has talked up the side's "spirit" after their 4-1 win against Cameroon on Monday evening.
The Manchester City man netted a late fourth after Neymar had earlier scored twice before Fred's close-range header, and the La Selecao man was pleased with the result against the African side.
Fernandinho told SporTV: "Two matches and two goals, I'm really happy for this. But the most important is that we secured the group's first position. Everyone in this group deserves the applause.
"I think the difference today wasn't the result itself, but the way the team played. We brought some of the same spirit we had during the Confederations Cup, it's a change of attitude that led us to a good result."
The result confirmed Luiz Felipe Scolari's side as Group A winners.
