Raheem Sterling has urged England fans to abandon their "negativity" ahead of the World Cup in Russia this summer.
The Manchester City star, whose team are just two wins away from winning the Premier League title, has been subjected to boos numerous times during his international career.
Gareth Southgate's side will take on Italy in a friendly on Tuesday night, and Sterling hopes that all the supporters will be behind the team.
"I feel sometimes there's a bit too much negativity. I would love to hear some positive notes going in, just to make the boys know that everyone's behind them," the 23-year-old told BBC Radio 5 live.
"If you want your country to do well, as everyone says, bring a positive light into it. Make the boys go off to the World Cup with clear heads, knowing everyone's behind them, everyone's with them."
Sterling has earned 36 caps for the Three Lions.
