Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has revealed his delight after Wednesday's 1-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League moved the Red Devils onto nine points in Group A.
Marcus Rashford's bizarre second-half free kick was the difference between the two teams on the night, with the England international's effort being carried over the line by Benfica's 18-year-old goalkeeper Mile Svilar.
Matic has admitted that United "had a little bit of luck with the goal", but the Serbian has said that his team deserved to collect all three points from Portugal's capital.
"They were really organised but we had more of the ball. We obviously had a little bit of luck with the goal but created a lot of chances and had some great counter-attacks. What is important is that we got the three points and are top of the group. I'm really happy for the team," Matic told MUTV.
Next up for United is a trip to Huddersfield Town in the Premier League this weekend.
