Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has acknowledged that returning to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the Champions League is "a huge emotional thing".
Ronaldo spent six years of his career with the Premier League giants before leaving in 2009, and the Portuguese superstar will be returning to the Theatre of Dreams for just the second time on Tuesday night.
The 33-year-old was also quick to show his support to former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who is currently recovering from a brain haemorrhage which he suffered in May.
At a press conference, Ronaldo told reporters: "It's a huge emotional thing for me to come back. I know all about the history. I won trophies here - cups, leagues, Champions League.
"Sir Alex Ferguson is someone I will never ever forget and I'd like to express my best possible wishes to him."
Ronaldo has scored five goals from 10 outings since signing for Juventus in the summer.
