Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has revealed that he will use Marouane Fellaini as a forward this season.
The Belgian arrived at Old Trafford as a holding midfielder, but was pushed into a more advanced position under Van Gaal last season.
Fellaini has thus far been suspended in the Premier League, but scored in the first leg of United's Champions League playoff against Club Brugge last week after coming on in attack.
Van Gaal's words seem to suggest that he is not targeting a striker in the final week of the transfer window, as he sees Fellaini in that position.
"He can play as a No.6 or No.8 but this year he'll be more a No.9 or No.10 as we have players in the other positions," Van Gaal told reporters at a press conference.
United are currently in Belgium ahead of the second leg of their European clash against Club Brugge.
