Doubts have emerged as to whether Wayne Rooney will be in the Manchester United starting lineup for tonight's Champions League match against Benfica.
The striker was not among the squad that arrived at Old Trafford earlier today, despite manager Sir Alex Ferguson claiming yesterday that he should be fit to take part.
Rooney is believed to have picked up a knock during United's 1-0 victory at Swansea City on Saturday.
Jonny Evans and Danny Welbeck were also absent from the team bus.
