Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed responsibility for his side's Europa League second-leg defeat to Ajax.
Despite a 2-1 loss on the night at Old Trafford, the Red Devils have progressed with a 3-2 aggregate victory.
"I have to take responsibility for the team and there were just too many young players in the back four positions," Ferguson told Channel Five.
"That was a big problem in terms of experience this evening."
United will face Athletic Bilbao in the next round of the competition.
