Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has insisted that his team have the credentials to overcome Liverpool in the last-16 stage of the Europa League.
On Thursday, Man United will welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford for the second leg, currently trailing 2-0 on aggregate following a disappointing result at Anfield last week.
Rooney, however, who is currently on the sidelines with a knee problem, is confident that his teammates can turn the tie around on home soil.
"Liverpool is going to be tough but two goals is doable. We have good players and the first goal will be important. If we get that, then we will be back in the game," Rooney told The Mirror.
Rooney recently revealed that his recovery from knee ligament damage is "going as planned".
