Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was absent for the start of training this morning.
Under Europa League rules, the media are permitted to attend the first ten minutes of a club's training session.
Rooney did not join his teammates in front of the cameras, although Michael Owen and Brazilian midfielder Anderson did take part following injuries.
It is not known whether or not Rooney joined up with the squad later in the session.
United take on Ajax tomorrow evening, having defeated the Dutch club 2-0 in Amsterdam last week.
