Manchester United manager David Moyes says that his side were unlucky to lose 2-1 to Swansea City in the FA Cup.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has said that his side were a bit unlucky to lose their FA Cup third-round tie with Swansea City this afternoon.

United went a goal down in the first half thanks to a good finish from Wayne Routledge, before Javier Hernandez equalised to leave the score 1-1 at the break.

However, the hosts were left with 10 men as Fabio da Silva was shown a straight red, allowing Swansea to take control of the game and score a winning goal through Wilfried Bony in the final minutes.

"We were a bit unlucky to lose. We had some opportunities, not enough, and we were down to 10 men," Moyes told reporters.

"We played quite well at times, got near the edge of the box quite regular, but didn't make an opportunity to score the goal. I though for long periods we had good control of the game.

"When you lose games at any club, it's difficult. We've got a big game on Tuesday [in the League Cup semi-final against Sunderland] and we'll get the team ready for that."

United have now lost five games at Old Trafford this season.
