Manchester United played out a goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers in Saturday evening's FA Cup third-round tie at Molineux.

Head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made seven changes to the side that started against the 2-0 loss to Arsenal on Wednesday night, with only Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic and Daniel James keeping their positions in the XI.

The Red Devils could not pick up a victory against Nuno Espirito Santo's side, though, and will therefore face a replay to determine whether they will progress to the fourth round of the competition.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Goal

Sergio Romero: Made an outstanding save to keep out a close-range Matt Doherty strike in the 13th minute. Arguably the best reserve goalkeeper in the Premier League. (7/10)

Defence

Ashley Young: Defensively sound during the FA Cup clash at Molineux. Did not offer too much in the final third but can be pleased with his overall performance. (7/10)

Victor Lindelof: Has certainly improved after a shaky start to his United career, but the Sweden international still needs to do a lot more. Contributed to a clean sheet at Molineux, though, and therefore deserves a positive rating. (7/10)

Harry Maguire: Looked like he would have to be substituted in the first half following a knock, but the England international was able to complete the 90 minutes. Excellent defensively but still needs to contribute more in the opposition's box. (8/10)

Brandon Williams: Might have had a penalty in the first half after tumbling under a challenge from Leander Dendoncker. Another very positive performance from the 19-year-old, who must be putting pressure on Luke Shaw for a spot in the Premier League XI. (7/10)

Midfield

Andreas Pereira: United's best midfielder on the afternoon, but the competition was not exactly fierce. Neat and tidy on the ball, while he also helped out defensively. (6/10)

Nemanja Matic: Needed at the moment with both Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay on the sidelines. Had the opportunity to dominate the midfield but did not take it. (6/10)

Juan Mata: Came incredibly close to sending United ahead from a free kick in the 58th minute. Showed some nice touches, particularly in the first period, but was replaced in the 70th minute having failed to make a serious impact once again. (6/10)

Attack

Tahith Chong: Struggled in the first half but showed his ability with one particular run just before the hour. Certainly improved in the second period but was replaced by Diogo Dalot in the 82nd minute having picked up a heavy blow in a late challenge. (6/10)

Mason Greenwood: Absolutely no question that the teenager is a serious talent, but despite some excellent touches, he found it difficult to make his mark during the 90 minutes. (6/10)

Daniel James: Badly needs a goal. Had a half-chance in the first half but failed to test John Ruddy between the sticks. Replaced by Marcus Rashford in the 70th minute. (5/10)

Substitutes

Marcus Rashford: Hit the crossbar shortly after entering the field. Improved United in the final third but could not make a telling contribution. (6/10)

Fred: Helped the Red Devils move the ball quicker in the middle of the park, but the Brazilian could not inspire his team going forward. (6/10)

Diogo Dalot: Only given the final eight minutes on his return from injury. Was not too involved but will have been delighted to receive some first-team action once again. (6/10)
