Cristiano Ronaldo will be hoping to keep hold of his spot in the Manchester United XI for Sunday's Premier League clash with West Ham United at Old Trafford.
The 37-year-old was not involved in last weekend's league clash with Chelsea as punishment for refusing to enter the field as a late substitute against Tottenham Hotspur on October 19.
Following clear-the-air talks with Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag, Ronaldo was back in the side against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday, and he found the back of the net in a 3-0 win for the hosts.
Ronaldo has now scored three times and registered one assist in 13 appearances for the 20-time English champions during the 2022-23 campaign.
Man United will be bidding to return to winning ways in the league when they welcome David Moyes's side on Sunday, and there could potentially be another start for Ronaldo.
With that in mind, Sports Mole looks at how the Portugal international has performed against the Hammers in the past.
Ronaldo has only faced West Ham on nine occasions during his professional career, and he boasts a record of six wins and three defeats, with all of the matches taking place in the Premier League.
The Portuguese has six goals to his name against the Hammers, in addition to providing an assist, and seven of the matches took place during his first spell at Man United earlier in his career.
Ronaldo's first game against West Ham was in 2006, when he played 87 minutes of a 1-0 win at Old Trafford, but he was then on the losing side against the London club in both matches during the 2006-07 season.
The forward's first goal against the Hammers came at Upton Park during the 2007-08 campaign, but it proved to be a third straight defeat versus the capital side, who ran out 2-1 winners.
Ronaldo has won his last five games against West Ham, though, scoring a brace and contributing an assist in a 4-1 success for Man United at Old Trafford in 2008.
The attacker also netted twice against the Hammers at Old Trafford during the 2008-09 campaign, before playing the full 90 minutes of a 1-0 victory at Upton Park later in the season.
The former Sporting Lisbon youngster also faced West Ham twice last season, scoring against them at London Stadium early in the campaign, with the Red Devils running out 2-1 winners.
