Manchester United head into Saturday's Premier League encounter at West Ham United sitting eight points adrift of top-flight leaders Liverpool.
United had recorded two league wins in a row after suffering their worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign, but last week's 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers has left Jose Mourinho's side with more work to do in order to catch up to their fierce rivals.
Mourinho is also contending with off-the-field issues concerning Paul Pogba, who has been stripped of the vice-captaincy at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese is expected to make alterations to his starting lineup this weekend, and here Sports Mole looks at how his side could line up at the London Stadium.
Out: Sergio Romero (suspended), Marcos Rojo (knock)
Doubtful:
Mourinho is boosted by the return of Nemanja Matic and Marcus Rashford, who both missed the last Premier League fixture through suspension.
Matic is almost certain to feature in the centre of midfield, while Marcus Rashford could be named on either flank with Romelu Lukaku remaining as the lone frontman.
Mourinho must decide whether to keep faith with out-of-form Alexis Sanchez, with only one of Marouane Fellaini and Jesse Lingard likely to feature in midfield.
Pogba should remain in the starting lineup, potentially in an attempt to halt the negative headlines currently associated with the France international and Mourinho.
