Manchester United will be bidding to bounce back from their disappointing result and performance against Newcastle United when they welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Marcus Rashford's performance in the 1-0 loss to Newcastle was widely criticised, and there have been calls for the England international to lose his spot in the side against the Blues.
However, it would still be a surprise if the forward was withdrawn from the starting XI for the Premier League affair, and he could therefore be given another chance to kickstart his campaign against Mauricio Pochettino's side.
With that in mind, Sports Mole looks at how the 26-year-old, who has only scored twice in 18 appearances this season, has performed against Chelsea during his professional career.
Rashford has faced Chelsea on 17 occasions at first-team level, boasting a record of five wins, seven draws and five losses against them, scoring six goals and registering three assists in the process.
As expected, the bulk of his outings against the capital side have come in the Premier League, winning three, drawing seven and losing two of his 12 fixtures versus the Blues in the competition, scoring four goals and registering two assists.
Rashford has faced Chelsea four times in the FA Cup, winning once and losing three times, failing to score but registering an assist, but he did net twice in his only EFL Cup outing against them, with his brace helping Man United to record a 2-1 victory in the fourth round of the competition in 2019-20.
The Man United academy product was a part of the Red Devils side that lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the final of the FA Cup in 2018, in addition to a 3-1 defeat in the semi-finals of the competition in 2019-20.
The fact that Rashford has drawn seven of his 12 league meetings against Chelsea suggests that the points could be shared at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
However, Man United equalled a club-record run which has stood for 130 years when they failed to draw against Newcastle on Saturday evening.
None of Man United's last 21 Premier League games have ended in a draw, recording 13 wins and losing eight; only on one occasion throughout their history have they had the same amount of games without a draw, which occurred during the 1893-94 campaign.
All four of Rashford's Premier League efforts against Chelsea have come at Old Trafford, including a goal in a 4-1 success for Erik ten Hag's side in the competition last term.
The forward's best-ever performance versus the capital outfit arguably occurred on the opening weekend of the 2019-20 Premier League season, when he netted twice in a 4-0 Man United win.
