Michael Carrick will again lead Manchester United on Thursday evening, as the Red Devils welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford in the Premier League.
The caretaker manager has been in charge of the first team since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's departure last month, and he has made a positive impression at the helm, following a 2-0 victory over Villarreal in the Champions League with a 1-1 draw at Chelsea in the league on Sunday.
Ralf Rangnick has now been appointed Man United's new interim manager, but the German will not manage the team against Arsenal, as he waits for his work permit to be issued.
Carrick, of course, does not have any previous against the Gunners when it comes to management, but he has faced the capital giants on plenty of occasions during his playing career.
With that in mind, Sports Mole looks at the 40-year-old's record against Arsenal as a professional footballer.
Carrick faced Arsenal on 32 occasions during his playing career, boasting a record of 12 wins, nine draws and 11 defeats, while he provided six assists in matches against them.
The vast majority of the former midfielder's playing experience against the Gunners came in the Premier League, but he also tackled the capital giants in the Champions League and FA Cup.
Indeed, Carrick played a key role in Man United beating Arsenal 4-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals of the 2008-09 Champions League, while he both won and lost against the North London club in the FA Cup, with both fixtures taking place during his time at Old Trafford.
The Englishman faced Arsenal on 28 occasions in the Premier League, boasting a record of nine wins, nine draws and 10 defeats, with the fixtures coming during spells at West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Man United.
Carrick actually did not win a single game against the Gunners for either West Ham or Tottenham, with his first Premier League victory against them coming at Man United during the 2007-08 campaign.
The former midfielder went on to enjoy eight more league victories in this fixture, including captaining the Red Devils to a 3-2 success at Old Trafford in February 2016.
Arguably, Carrick's best ever performance against the Gunners came at the Emirates Stadium during the 2009-10 campaign, when he provided two assists in a 3-1 victory for the 20-time English champions.
The Englishman also only lost once to Arsenal at Old Trafford during his time at Man United, with the match in question coming back in September 2006, when he appeared as a late substitute in a 1-0 defeat.
