Confirmed gameweek 13 Premier League team news and manager quotes for every club

:Headline: Confirmed gameweek 13 Premier League team news and manager quotes for every club:
Sports Mole rounds up every Premier League club's confirmed team news ahead of gameweek 13, and what their managers have had to say about their injury situations.
Sports Mole

ARSENAL (vs. Brentford)

Out: Thomas Partey (thigh), Fabio Vieira (suspended), David Raya (ineligible), Jurrien Timber (knee)

Doubtful: Martin Odegaard (concussion), Ben White (knock), Cedric Soares (virus), Emile Smith Rowe (knee)

Mikel Arteta quotes: "Hopefully [Odegaard] is available. We have another training session today but he has been progressing well. We didn't know how many days he'd need to be out and in the end it got more delayed than we wanted but we had to protect the player.

"[Jesus] is available. He played 97 minutes in a really competitive match. We have another session. They had a really long flight and I have to see the condition of every single player to make the final call on the lineup.

"Again, if [White] is able to train today he'll be in contention to play. It's a question to be resolved in the next few hours."

ASTON VILLA (vs. Spurs)

Out: Emiliano Buendia (knee), Tyrone Mings (knee), Bertrand Traore (muscle)

Doubtful: Diego Carlos (knock), Matty Cash (shoulder), John McGinn (knee), Jacob Ramsey (foot), Leon Bailey (knock), Nicolo Zaniolo (knock)

Unai Emery quotes: "John [McGinn] trained well today. Yesterday he came back here with us and he rested. But today he was training and, at the end of training, I asked him and he told me he's ready. Hopefully tomorrow it doesn't change and I think he will be okay for Sunday.

"Some players are coming back after their international matches with a little bit of doubt for Sunday. Leon [Bailey] and Nicolo [Zaniolo] worked alone this morning trying to test if they are going to be ready for Sunday, and more or less the tests were positive. Emi [Martinez] tested this morning as well because he has a small pain, but I think he's going to be ready for Sunday.

"Bertrand [Traore] is completely 100% injured and not available for Sunday."

BOURNEMOUTH (vs. Sheffield United)

Out: Tyler Adams (thigh), Alex Scott (knee), Ryan Fredericks (calf), Max Aarons (hamstring), Emiliano Marcondes (ankle), Darren Randolph (ill)

Doubtful: Philip Billing (quadriceps)

Andoni Iraola quotes: "We will have Max [Aarons] out for some time because he got injured in the past game against Newcastle.

"[Adam Smith is] ready to perform straight away, I have no doubts. Even the other day, without warming up because we didn't expect the injury, he went straight away and nobody noticed, he was very good.

"It's true that we had half of the team outside with the national teams. We haven't had a lot of time to prepare for Sheffield United all together. It's just today and tomorrow when we travel that we are all together.

"There's two or three that still haven't trained with us, they are arriving during the day so we will see how they arrive, if they've slept during their travel.

"They have tomorrow to train but most of the squad trained today and everyone was fine. Everyone has come back in a good spot. Obviously with the travel they are tired and we have to analyse who will be able to help us, who can play some minutes, who can start but no serious injuries."

BRENTFORD (vs. Arsenal)

Out: Rico Henry (knee), Aaron Hickey (hamstring), Ivan Toney (suspended), Kevin Schade (adductor), Nathan Collins (ankle), Joshua Dasilva (hamstring), Mikkel Damsgaard (knee)

Doubtful: Keane Lewis-Potter (calf), Shandon Baptiste (shoulder)

Club statement: "Nathan Collins has been ruled out of Brentford's Premier League game against Arsenal on Saturday.

"Collins suffered an ankle injury while playing for Republic of Ireland against Netherlands during the international break and head coach Thomas Frank, speaking during his pre-match press conference, revealed that the defender will be sidelined for 'weeks'.

"Keane Lewis-Potter and Shandon Baptiste are both available for selection having recovered from calf and shoulder injuries respectively.

"Josh Dasilva (hamstring) and Mikkel Damsgaard (knee) are progressing well but the game will come too soon for the midfield duo."

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (vs. Forest)

Out: Danny Welbeck (unspecified), Solly March (knee), Julio Enciso (knee), Mahmoud Dahoud (suspended), Pervis Estupinan (muscle), James Milner (muscle), Lewis Dunk (groin), Kaoru Mitoma (unspecified), Adam Webster (unspecified)

Doubtful: Tariq Lamptey (unspecified), Evan Ferguson (hamstring), Igor Julio (ankle)

Roberto De Zerbi quotes: "Mitoma and Milner can't play, they are not available. We will have to see with Igor [Julio]. We have too many injuries – I have lost count! Dunk is available, Estupinan isn't – I think for a long time. Lamptey is better which is good news.

"Jakub [Moder] will be on the bench tomorrow and I think he can play 20/25 minutes. He's different to our other midfielders and can be important. I want to give him a chance to play, he has the right personality."

BURNLEY (vs. West Ham)

Out: Lyle Foster (mental health)

Doubtful: Ameen Al-Dakhil (knock)

Vincent Kompany quotes: "We know West Ham are such a strong opponent, you just have to look at the players they've got and the investments they've had in certain positions. I really like the squad they have to be honest.

"There's pure individual quality that you have to respect in this league. But that's the goal for us, to show the ability to be amongst this.

"Obviously they've got Antonio who is not available and a few other niggles, but if you look at the midfield with Alvarez, Paqueta on the ball and his quality to pick passes and be a threat, Kudus is a player I've known for a long time, it's just an exciting squad purely from a neutral perspective.

"From a coaching perspective it's like every game, you do see opportunities for your team to make a game out of it and get a result and that's what it's about."

CHELSEA (vs. Newcastle)

Out: Wesley Fofana (knee), Ben Chilwell (thigh), Trevoh Chalobah (thigh), Carney Chukwuemeka (knee), Christopher Nkunku (knee), Romeo Lavia (ankle)

Doubtful: Levi Colwill (shoulder), Malo Gusto (tendon)

Mauricio Pochettino quotes: "Levi Colwill is going to be in the squad but Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku are out. They are both in good condition, Nkunku is a little bit ahead of Lavia, he was doing things with the group, but still not full recovery to be part of the squad.

"It was nice to see Wesley Fofana run on the grass. It was good motivation and it is good that he can start to feel the grass.

"[Reece James] is doing well and improving every day. We hope he can cope with 90 minutes."

CRYSTAL PALACE (vs. Luton)

Out: Jesurun Rak-Sakyi (thigh), Dean Henderson (thigh)

Doubtful: James Tomkins (calf)

Roy Hodgson quotes: "I think they've trained extremely well, the ones who've stayed behind with us.

"We've had seven [players] away this time, so it's not a ludicrous number – other teams have had more than that. People have got back to some sort of fitness now, so our squad's been pretty much a normal size, bringing in one or two boys from the Academy.

"I think it's been a good couple of weeks' work for us and it's good also to see the players who did play international football come back without injury.

"Two players came back today. That's the problem when you have players who travel a long way away.

"Both Jordan Ayew and Jefferson Lerma only came back for this morning's training session, but everyone else was back for yesterday's training session, so I suppose that's probably more normal for teams that send players away – that two days before the game you'll get your team or your squad back.

"But we're a little bit unlucky in the sense that some of our players have got longer journeys and it takes them a bit longer to get back."

EVERTON (vs. Man Utd)

Out: Dele Alli (hip), Amadou Onana (calf)

Doubtful: Seamus Coleman (knee), Andre Gomes (calf)

Sean Dyche quotes: "Amadou Onana, with his calf, I don't think it will be right. He's still sore.

"Ben Godfrey, Seamus Coleman and Michael Keane all played in midweek, that's good, getting them some minutes. When you've had a long-term injury, that 90 minutes is the final marker really. It's good for them to get as many minutes away along with the lads getting minutes on international duty.

"Andre Gomes is back on the grass. He's had a very frustrating season. He just needs some games.

"And Dele Alli, it's good to see him back on the grass. We're still tentative at the moment with the sports science side of things. He's joined in a couple of warm-ups so he's just feeling himself back in. It will be really pleasing if we can get him back."

FULHAM (vs. Wolves)

Out: Rodrigo Munoz (knee), Joao Palhinha (suspended), Issa Diop (ankle), Adama Traore (hamstring), Tyrese Francois (unspecified)

Doubtful: Tosin Adarabioyo (groin)

Marco Silva quotes: "It's a good sign that we've had 13 or 14 players away for the last two. It's good that the game will be on Monday to give us time to recover.

"We have four players out. Issa Diop, Adama Traore, Tyrese Francois and Rodrigo Muniz."

LIVERPOOL (vs. Man City)

Out: Thiago Alcantara (hip), Stefan Bajcetic (calf), Andrew Robertson (shoulder)

Doubtful: Ryan Gravenberch (knee), Joe Gomez (knock), Curtis Jones (hamstring), Ibrahima Konate (hamstring)

Jurgen Klopp quotes: "Only the long-term absentees are still out. No new concerns – before I entered this room.

"Conor Bradley [is] completely normal in training but now he needs to play games, starting with the U21s. Kaide Gordon was with us in training the whole week, which is really exciting. Looks really good, has to now gain minutes. I think that's it.

"We have 12 different players back from the international break. The decision to play players, I will have to wait until training. They all came back pretty much from international [games] so we have to make these decisions.

"For these decisions I have to wait until: at 3pm is the meeting and 4pm is training, so until then. Look in their eyes, talk to them and then figure out who is ready to start and who is probably better to bring on.

"They all I would say, nearly all, had a really good international break. Colombia were really successful, Lucho scored twice. Uruguay obviously did really well. So we have to see.

"Yes, [Darwin Nunez] is in a good moment and we want to use him as often as possible. If it's possible, I don't know in this moment."

LUTON TOWN (vs. Palace)

Out: Mads Andersen (hamstring), Dan Potts (hamstring), Albert Sambi Lokonga (hamstring), Reece Burke (hamstring), Issa Kabore (concussion)

Doubtful: Cauley Woodrow (calf), Alfie Doughty (knock), Chiedozie Ogbene (ankle), Amari'i Bell (hamstring)

Rob Edwards quotes: "There's a mix really, a few on their way back and progressing well and there's one or two that have come back from international break and we're having to manage them.

"Issa Kabore is one of those, I don't want to go into detail. He's out with concussion.

"We're going through all the protocols with that and he won't be available for this game. We're hoping he'll be OK for the next game against Man City. Chiedozie Ogbene has been OK. [He's] had to have some time off for some treatment. I'm hopeful for him."

MANCHESTER CITY (vs. Liverpool)

Out: Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring), Mateo Kovacic (thigh), John Stones (thigh), Matheus Nunes (fitness)

Doubtful: Erling Haaland (ankle), Ederson (foot), Nathan Ake (knock), Sergio Gomez (ankle)

Pep Guardiola quotes: "We have a few problems, the same as many clubs. We will see in the training session and we will see tomorrow at 12.30pm who is available.

"At 6pm I will know for sure which players I will have tomorrow. Always it's plan A.

"Erling Haaland trained yesterday with some niggles, but yes, today is the last training session and hopefully he can be part of that."

MANCHESTER UNITED (vs. Everton)

Out: Casemiro (hamstring), Lisandro Martinez (foot), Jonny Evans (hamstring), Christian Eriksen (knee), Jadon Sancho (banished), Amad Diallo (knee)

Doubtful: Rasmus Hojlund (muscle), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (illness), Tyrell Malacia (knee), Andre Onana (adductor), Luke Shaw (muscle), Facundo Pellistri (knock)

Erik ten Hag quotes: "Andre [Onana] is OK. He's been in training today and I think he is good.

"With Rasmus [Hojlund] I feel it is a close finish. He's training and he's outside making good steps. We have to wait until tomorrow before making a final decision.

"Luke Shaw will be available on Sunday and will be in the squad."

NEWCASTLE UNITED (vs. Chelsea)

Out: Sandro Tonali (suspended), Lewis Hall (ineligible), Sven Botman (knee), Callum Wilson (hamstring), Matt Targett (hamstring), Dan Burn (back), Elliot Anderson (back), Harvey Barnes (foot), Jacob Murphy (shoulder), Javi Manquillo (groin)

Doubtful: Alexander Isak (groin), Miguel Almiron (hamstring), Sean Longstaff (ankle), Fabian Schar (hamstring)

Eddie Howe quotes: "We have worked with a small squad but we have worked well, majority of players came back into the group yesterday and we are looking forward to the game at the weekend.

"Fabian [Schar] was more precautionary rather than any injury, we saw him yesterday – he seemed good. Miggy [Miguel Almiron] has worked really well since his hamstring. Kieran [Trippier] is fine, he has trained with us since his return from England. We will check on Sean [Longstaff] before tomorrow.

"It's going to be a demanding month for us, especially with the Champions League and League Cup involvement. We have given ourselves a real intense period. An even bigger challenge with the absentees we have but we roll with it, we go with it. The players we have fit and available are very strong."

NOTTINGHAM FOREST (vs. Brighton)

Out: Taiwo Awoniyi (groin), Callum Hudson-Odoi (thigh)

Doubtful: Murillo (hamstring), Anthony Elanga (knee), Danilo (ankle), Felipe (knee), Gonzalo Montiel (calf)

Steve Cooper quotes: "It's bad news on Taiwo, he's had to have surgery and he is going to be out for months. We'll support him and try to get him back as quick and as fit as he can be, but it's a really unfortunate situation and a blow for him.

"He's become an important player for us with the goals he's scored and the goals he will score for us, but he's such a good guy and a good professional who is desperate to do well, so to get an injury like this is harsh on him.

"We've got to support him through the process of coming back stronger. He's done that once before here and I'm sure he will give everything again like he did last time. You think about how well he did when he returned last season, I'm sure that's given him a good reference point to come back to.

"We'll definitely see him again this season, but it's groin surgery so it will take a little while.

"Anthony (Elanga) had a scan just after the West Ham game and had a bit of a medial knee injury, but he's progressing well and is back out training.

"Murillo unfortunately had a setback with his hamstring at West Ham. That was a blow for him because he's doing well and he's a young player who we're enjoying giving an opportunity to.

"Danilo also limped off with an ankle sprain at the end of the game too.

"Callum (Hudson-Odoi) is just about to join back in training. He's been on the grass a little bit doing the final stages of rehab and hopefully in the coming weeks he can be available.

"We never look for excuses, we will never dwell on it, we will focus on the players who will be available and that's where our attention lies whilst supporting the guys who are injured."

SHEFFIELD UNITED (vs. Bournemouth)

Out: Chris Basham (foot), Max Lowe (ankle), Rhian Brewster (knee), Rhys Norrington-Davies (thigh), John Egan (ankle), Tom Davies (thigh), Daniel Jebbison (illness)

Doubtful: Oli McBurnie (groin), Anel Ahmedhodzic (thigh), Jayden Bogle (knock)

Paul Heckingbottom quotes: "Yeah [Oli McBurnie and Anel Ahmedhodzic are available]. They have been big for us; Anel in the last 18 months or so, and Oli over the last couple of years. We want them fit and available.

"I'd love everyone fit and available. It's no disrespect but we're getting to 60 minutes in games and I'm looking round and looking at depths of other squads and what we've had, and we've not been able to do it.

"But with them back, and a hopefully a couple more, our bench is really competitive and when we're making substitutions, we're having a bigger impact on the game."

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (vs. Villa)

Out: Ivan Perisic (knee), Micky van de Ven (hamstring), James Maddison (ankle), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring), Manor Solomon (knee), Richarlison (hip), Cristian Romero (suspended), Yves Bissouma (suspended), Alfie Whiteman (ankle), Ashley Phillips (ankle), Pape Sarr (unspecified)

Doubtful: Destiny Udogie (muscle)

Ange Postecoglou quotes: "Micky [Van de Ven] and [James Maddison] have no real update, the same as a few weeks back.

"We had a couple of issues out of the international break. Ash Phillips picked up an ankle injury with the England team, he's out for a little while. We're still assessing it but it's at least probably a month.

"We're just checking on Pape Sarr who has got a bit of an issue coming back from the national team. He didn't train today, we'll see how he is tomorrow.

"Aside from that, [Yves] Bissouma is suspended but we'll get Destiny [Udogie] back. Everyone else is ok."

WEST HAM UNITED (vs. Burnley)

Out: Michail Antonio (knee)

Doubtful: Jarrod Bowen (knee), Nayef Aguerd (unspecified)

David Moyes quotes: "We hope Jarrod will be available against Burnley but we will make a decision on that tomorrow.

"Michail has got a small injury. It's not serious. it will probably keep him out for a couple of weeks. I think, give or take, two weeks. I don't want to nail down an exact time scan but about that long.

"It is a bit like a doctor's surgery at the moment. It's been difficult for a lot of the international boys because they've had late returns. But we think Nayef Aguerd will be okay too.

"Injuries are absolutely your worst fear as a manager, coming out of an international break. We've had a great record when it comes to injuries this season, we've had almost a full squad in every game and now we've got players injured from international duty, and that's a blow for us.

"That being said, I want to have international players because that tells me I've got one of the best players from whatever country it is. I want my players to be playing for their countries. I'd like more, if possible, to be selected."

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (vs. Fulham)

Out: Pedro Neto (hamstring), Nathan Fraser (unspecified), Joe Hodge (shoulder), Craig Dawson (suspended)

Doubtful: Mario Lemina (ankle), Matt Doherty (hamstring), Nelson Semedo (foot)

Gary O'Neil quotes: "Pedro won't make Monday. He's got a little bit more work to do. Pedro will stay with the physios and fitness staff for a bit longer. There's no exact time frame, but Monday he won't be available. Hopefully it's weeks.

"It's hard because there'll be tests done, he goes for other check-ups and scans and you're sort of guided by them, how quickly he's healing, but he's healing very well.

"He's probably ahead of where they would have wanted him to be at this point. We're pleased with the progress he's made, but with the nature of the injury, we need to make sure everything's ticked off properly before he's back with the group.

"I think everyone came back OK. Nathan Fraser's still out. Mario rolled his ankle on international duty but should be fine. Matt Doherty has a tight hamstring but will be fine.

"Hugo Bueno is back involved, as he was just before, he's doing well. 'Hodgey' is doing well, he's back on the grass, but it comes a bit too quick for him. We're pretty much as we were, as long as nothing happens the next couple of days."
