Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League showdown with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manchester United will be looking to make it two wins in a row on Sunday when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are currently 10th in the Premier League, two points and two positions behind Graham Potter's Seagulls.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side slumped to a fourth league defeat of the season against Bournemouth last weekend, while Brighton saw off Norwich City 2-0.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's clash.

Eric Bailly

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: December 15 (vs. Everton)

Eric Bailly is still recovering from the knee operation that he had in the summer, but the Ivorian now looks set to make a first team return before the end of the year.

Paul Pogba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: December 7 (vs. Manchester City)

Pogba has not featured for United since September as he continues to struggle with an ankle problem, and he is not expected to be available until the Manchester derby next month.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Sheffield United)

Luke Shaw has missed 12 consecutive games for United in all competitions with a thigh issue but Solskjaer indicated that the England international should be fit enough to feature after the international break.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Sheffield United)

Axel Tuanzebe got injured in the warm-up for the game with Liverpool last month and the defender is not expected to be available for at least a couple of weeks.

Nemanja Matic

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Sheffield United)

United have still not actually confirmed what issue Matic is struggling with, but the Serbian is likely to be a candidate to feature in the Sheffield United game in a fortnight's time.

Diogo Dalot

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Sheffield United)

Diogo Dalot has only made three appearances this season as a result of a groin problem, but he is now close to competing with Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the starting right-back berth.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Timothy Fosu-Mensah ruptured his knee ligaments while playing for Fulham last season and there is no timetable for his return as yet.

Scott McTominay

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: November 10 (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion)

The Scotland international was forced off in United's game with Partizan Belgrade with an ankle problem and he will have to undergo a late fitness test for Sunday's game.

Harry Maguire

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: November 10 (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion)

The England centre-back also picked up a knock in Thursday's Europa League fixture but he should be fit enough to start in the heart of the Red Devils' defence at Old Trafford.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Lower Back
Possible return date: November 10 (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion)

Lindelof has been struggling with a lower back issue of late and he missed training all week, which is likely to rule him out of the running to feature in Sunday's game.

Angel Gomes

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: Unknown

United are yet to provide much detail on Gomes's injury problems, but the midfielder is expected to miss the next few weeks at least.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Ashley Young is suspended for Sunday's match after picking up five yellow cards in United's opening 11 Premier League games.
