Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United

:Headline: Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United:
Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester United.
Sports Mole

Arsenal will aim to continue their perfect start to the 2022-23 Premier League season when they travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners were all over Aston Villa at the Emirates on Wednesday evening but could only scrape a 2-1 win, as Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli struck either side of Douglas Luiz's equaliser direct from a corner.

Having now won five from five in the 2022-23 Premier League campaign, Arsenal continue to lead the way at the top of the table, but injuries are now starting to bedevil Mikel Arteta.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the showdown with the Red Devils.

Reiss Nelson

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Attacker Reiss Nelson would have been hoping to reignite his Arsenal career this season, but the 22-year-old is facing another few weeks on the sidelines after picking up a thigh injury last month.

Thomas Partey

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

The luckless Thomas Partey was not available against Villa or Fulham the previous weekend due to yet another thigh injury, and Arteta expects the Ghanaian to be out for "weeks" with the issue.

Mohamed Elneny

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Mohamed Elneny played through the pain of a hamstring injury against Fulham and was unavailable for the win over Aston Villa, and the Egyptian's injury is a significant one, so Arsenal will have to cope without another of their midfielders for a number of months.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: September 8 (vs. Zurich)

Oleksandr Zinchenko was not quite ready to make his return from a minor knee sprain against Aston Villa, and the left-back has not trained with the team ahead of this game, so he is seemingly set to miss out once more.

Martin Odegaard

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 4 (vs. Man United)

Captain Martin Odegaard was forced off after taking a "bad kick" from John McGinn in midweek, according to Arteta, and it remains to be seen if the Norway international will recover in time for Sunday.

Aaron Ramsdale

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: September 4 (vs. Man United)

Aaron Ramsdale went down clutching his hamstring during the second half of the win over Aston Villa, and while he was able to complete the full 90 minutes, he will also need assessing before the trip to Old Trafford.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
