Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester United on Thursday.
Sports Mole

Chelsea will aim to inch closer to securing a third-placed finish in the Premier League when they make the journey to Old Trafford to meet Manchester United on Thursday night.

Thomas Tuchel's side were minutes away from dropping points in a London derby with 10-man West Ham United before substitute Christian Pulisic popped up with the winner in the 90th minute.

The Blues have now opened up a five-point gap to fourth-placed Arsenal - who have played a game more - and will aim to move further clear of their capital counterparts in midweek.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the Red Devils.

Mateo Kovacic

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: May 7 (vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Mateo Kovacic suffered ankle ligament damage in the FA Cup semi-final win over Crystal Palace last weekend and is expected to spend at least another week and a half on the sidelines.

Ben Chilwell

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Ben Chilwell remains on the long road to recovery following knee surgery and will watch on from the sidelines for the remainder of the campaign.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Status: Out
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: Unknown

Callum Hudson-Odoi's Achilles problem is proving difficult for the versatile Englishman to overcome, and he is yet to rejoin the team for training, so it is unclear when he may be able to return.

Antonio Rudiger

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: April 28 (vs. Man United)

Antonio Rudiger was not involved in the weekend's victory over West Ham due to a groin injury, and the Germany international - who is confirmed to be leaving upon the expiration of his contract - is battling to return for Thursday's game.

Andreas Christensen

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Stomach
Possible return date: April 28 (vs. Man United)

Andreas Christensen was named in the first XI for the clash with West Ham before pulling out due to reported stomach problems, but the Dane will likely recover in time for the trip to Old Trafford.

Reece James

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Discomfort
Possible return date: April 28 (vs. Man United)

Reece James was not available for the visit of the Hammers due to discomfort, but the right-back has not picked up a fresh injury and should be fine for Thursday's game.

Ross Barkley

Status: Out
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: Unknown

Tuchel revealed at his pre-match press conference that Ross Barkley will miss out due to illness, but he was unlikely to earn any minutes anyway.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players suspended for this match.
