Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Manchester United will be bidding to return to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon when they travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal.

Ralf Rangnick's side suffered a 4-0 loss to Liverpool in the league on Tuesday, which has left them in sixth spot in the table, three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have a game in hand.

The Red Devils now have back-to-back league fixtures against Arsenal and Chelsea, and their results in the two matches could determine whether they are in the top-four race heading into the final straight.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Arsenal, who are also battling for a top-four finish this term.

Fred

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: April 23 (vs. Arsenal)

Fred had to be substituted against Everton on April 9 after suffering a hip issue in the first half, and the Brazil international remains a major doubt for the contest with Arsenal.

Edinson Cavani

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Edinson Cavani picked up a calf problem while representing Uruguay in their World Cup qualifier against Chile during the recent international break, and the striker is again set to miss out here.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out
Type of injury: Leg
Possible return date: Unknown

Luke Shaw had to be replaced against Leicester City due to an issue relating to his previously-broken leg, which happened back in 2015, and he has since undergone a minor operation to have two bolts removed, which is likely to see him miss the rest of the campaign.

Paul Pogba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: May 2 (vs. Brentford)

Paul Pogba had to be substituted in the early stages of the clash with Liverpool after picking up a calf problem, and he is set to miss his side's next two league fixtures.

Raphael Varane

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: April 23 (vs. Arsenal)

Raphael Varane has struggled with a number of injury problems since his arrival at Man United, and the centre-back has missed his side's last three matches with a knock, but he has been back in training with a fitness coach this week and could be involved on Saturday.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Personal
Possible return date: April 23 (vs. Arsenal)

Cristiano Ronaldo was not involved against Liverpool following the death of his newborn son, but the Portugal international could be back in the squad against Arsenal.

MAN UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Mason Greenwood

Possible return date: Unknown

Mason Greenwood was recently arrested on suspicion of rape, assault, sexual assault and making threats to kill, and he has been suspended by the Red Devils until further notice.
