Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has conceded that "there is a strong possibility" he will be without the services of Bojan for Thursday's Premier League clash against Manchester United.
The 24-year-old was taken off during Sunday afternoon's 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion with a hamstring complaint.
Despite having revealed that the extent of the damage is only likely to be a "strain", Hughes admitted that the playmaker is likely to miss the clash with Louis van Gaal's side at the Britannia Stadium.
"We are still waiting to find out the full extent of Bojan's injury when he goes for a scan later this afternoon," he told the club's official website.
"The feeling is he has some kind of strain and there is a strong possibility he will miss the game against Manchester United. We will have to await the results of his scan, we may get some good news but at the moment we expect him to miss out unfortunately."
The former Barcelona player has scored three goals during his 15 appearances this season.
