England midfielder Michael Carrick will reportedly undergo a scan on a groin injury.
The 33-year-old is believed to have suffered the complaint during a training session earlier today.
Although there has been no confirmation yet as to how severe the problem is, the Manchester United player could now be a doubt for Saturday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia at Wembley, according to Sky Sports News.
It had been speculated that manager Roy Hodgson had intended to use Carrick, who has not played a competitive international fixture since October 2013, at the base of a four-man midfield diamond for the visit of the Slovenians.
Carrick only returned to action for his club earlier this month, having been sidelined since the summer as a result of ankle surgery.
