Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has revealed that Anthony Martial is currently on the sidelines with a hip issue.
The 27-year-old has struggled with a number of injury problems during the 2022-23 campaign, being restricted to only nine Premier League appearances this term.
Martial has featured on 14 occasions in all competitions, scoring six times and contributing two assists, but he has not played in the Premier League since the Manchester derby on January 14.
The Frenchman was expected to be in the squad against Crystal Palace on Saturday after returning as a substitute in the 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup on February 1.
However, Martial was a notable absentee against the Eagles, with Ten Hag revealing ahead of the match that the forward had suffered an injury setback.
The Man United head coach has said that a hip issue is currently keeping Martial out, adding to the hamstring, Achilles and back issues that he has struggled to overcome this term.
"He is not always available. Also I see the other side of when he is available and he was never 100% this season," Ten Hag told reporters during Tuesday's press conference.
"But he has a big impact every time he is available and even when he is it at 80, 85, 90%. So, we do everything and Anthony Martial is doing everything.
"Anthony Martial I think is the player who spends the most hours at Carrington this season, to return, to recover, to get back. It is really such a pity for him and us.
"He is disappointed and he is not always available like we want him to be. That will improve our game because routines cannot continue when you are not always available.
"Every time it is in a different area. At the moment it is his hip."
Ten Hag also provided further detail on Antony's absence, having ruled the Brazil international out of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Leeds United.
"It is in his leg, but I can't specify as we don't understand that. I don't think it is a long time but we have to see how it develops in the coming days," he said when questioned on the attacker.
Man United will also be missing Christian Eriksen, Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay against Leeds through injury, while Casemiro will begin his three-game Premier League suspension.
