Sweden assistant Peter Wettergren has suggested that Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof is struggling with a back problem.
While Lindelof has made 14 appearances for club and country since the beginning of September, the 26-year-old has not always been regarded as fully fit.
The centre-back was withdrawn midway through the second half against France on Tuesday night, leaving Wettergren to reveal that the player had asked to be substituted.
Wettergren is quoted by Aftonbladet as saying: "Lindelof was in a bit of pain after the match against Croatia, but said that he will give everything for the team. He was able to train okay and said 'I'll push as long as possible'.
"He gave me a signal at half time that he would not go the whole [of the second] half. Then I told him to shout when it is not possible."
United are back in action on Saturday when they play host to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
