Manchester United lost both Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire to injury during Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Shaw pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular problem in the first half of the clash at Old Trafford and ultimately had to be replaced by Diogo Dalot in the 34th minute.

Maguire, meanwhile, was substituted in the 67th minute of the contest after failing to run off a kick to the calf, with Victor Lindelof slotting in alongside Raphael Varane at the back.

Villa took the lead in the 88th minute of the contest through Kortney Hause, with the defender heading a Douglas Luiz corner into the back of the net.

The Red Devils had the chance to level the scores in the final exchanges from the penalty spot, but Bruno Fernandes saw his effort fly over the crossbar.

Man United are one of four teams on 13 points in the Premier League table but sit behind Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea in the division on goal difference. body check tags ::
