Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has been pencilled in to have a scan on a long-standing groin injury.
The 21-year-old has started each of United's Premier League fixtures this season but he may face a spell on the sidelines depending on an assessment by the club's medical staff.
Shaw was substituted towards the end of United's 3-1 defeat away at Watford on Sunday, but he came in for criticism from his manager after the Hornets' second goal came from the left flank.
Another period in the treatment room would come as a blow for the full-back after he missed the majority of last season with a broken leg.
