Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has said that Luke Shaw, Christian Eriksen and Harry Maguire could all be available for Sunday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

Shaw has been absent from the team's last three matches with an unspecified injury, most recently missing out against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup on Monday night.

Eriksen was also unavailable for the contest with the League One side through illness, while Maguire has not featured for the 20-time English champions since picking up a groin problem in the Champions League contest with Bayern Munich on December 12.

Ten Hag is expecting his squad to be boosted against Spurs this weekend, with Shaw, Eriksen and Maguire all potentially returning to action.

However, Mason Mount, who has been restricted to just 12 appearances this season due to injury, is likely to need longer before being available for selection.

"Yeah. I think there will be some players, I think it's hopeful that they can be back at the weekend," Ten Hag told reporters after the 2-0 win over Wigan in the third round of the FA Cup.

"So I'm talking about Christian Eriksen, potentially Luke Shaw. Harry maybe, Mason I think he needs some days or a week more."

However, Ten Hag suggested ahead of the contest with Wigan that Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro would not be available for the clash with Ange Postecoglou's side.

Amad Diallo and Antony were also notable absentees from the squad on Monday, with the pair missing through illness and injury respectively, and it remains to be seen if either will return at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are also currently without the services of Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof and Anthony Martial, while Sofyan Amrabat has linked up with Morocco for the Africa Cup of Nations..

"The FA Cup is all about winning. It's a knockout. If you have to replay [the tie], it's two games, but you want to finish the job and that's exactly the words I used in the dressing room: 'Job done'," Ten Hag told ITV following the team's progression to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

"We created in the first half five or six very good chances. It was, I think, good football and we should have taken more from that, but if you don't score, you have to stay focused and I think that is also what we did."

Diogo Dalot sent Man United ahead in the first half against Wigan before a Bruno Fernandes penalty in the second period secured the team's spot in the next stage.

The 20-time English champions will head to either League Two outfit Newport County or National League side Eastleigh in the fourth round at the end of the month. body check tags ::
