Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly expected to be sidelined until April with a back injury.
Shortly after his introduction in Wednesday night's FA Cup replay with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Rashford was forced off with a recurrence of a previous back problem.
However, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to rule the England international out of contention for Sunday's meeting with Liverpool, it appears that the academy graduate was always going to miss out on appearing at Anfield.
According to Henry Winter of The Times, Rashford has a double stress fracture in his back, which will likely leave the 22-year-old out of action for up to three months.
Winter adds that Rashford had already been carrying a single stress fracture in the same area, highlighting that the attacker had been playing through the pain barrier.
The development will likely lead to Solskjaer entering the transfer market for a new striker.
