Jose Mourinho has suggested that he is not pleased with Manchester United's medical staff after passing Ander Herrera as fully fit ahead of the Champions League game against Sevilla.
The Spaniard missed United's previous three matches with a hamstring injury, but returned to the starting XI for the last-16 first leg at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
However, Herrera pulled up with just over quarter of an hour played and appeared visibly frustrated as he was substituted, holding his hamstring as he left the pitch.
"He had a small injury that stopped him for the last couple of matches," Mourinho explained after the game, which ended in a goalless draw.
"The medical department gave him 100% ready for last Saturday. We didn't play him to give more work and more protection but it looks like he was not fully fit. The medical department gave him fully fit.
"He trained Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. He looked fit, the way he was playing during the time on the pitch he showed that intensity that is only possible when you feel fully fit."
Herrera has made 30 appearances in all competitions for United this term.
