Manchester United defender Paddy McNair has returned home after being forced to spend three nights in a Helsinki hospital.
The 20-year-old sustained bruised ribs and an abdominal injury during Northern Ireland's 1-1 Euro 2016 qualifying draw with Finland.
He remained in Helsinki while the rest of his teammates went home on Monday, being kept in hospital by Irish FA doctor David White for precautionary reasons.
McNair, who has made just one appearance for his club this season, flew back to England earlier today, although it is understood that he will not be ready to return to action for at least another fortnight.
United take on Everton this Saturday in a match that could see them return to the top of the Premier League.
