Manchester United manager David Moyes has revealed that Robin van Persie is likely to miss Wednesday's Capital One Cup tie with Liverpool through injury.
The striker was forced to sit out Sunday's 4-1 defeat at Manchester City in the Premier League due to a groin strain.
Moyes told reporters: "I don't think Robin van Persie will play on Wednesday against Liverpool."
Van Persie has scored six goals in six games for United so far this season.
