Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has hinted that Luis Suarez will feature during Wednesday's League Cup tie against Manchester United.
The Uruguayan international has just completed a 10-match suspension that he was handed for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during a Premier League match at Anfield last season.
Although Rodgers refused to confirm if the striker would be part of his starting lineup at Old Trafford, he praised the 26-year-old for the attitude that he has shown during his ban.
"It's been a really difficult time for him not playing games. How he has prepared himself over the last number of weeks has been fantastic. He's really chomping at the bit to help the team," he told reporters. "Everyone knows the depth of his quality and attitude."
The suspension did not prevent Suarez from playing in recent World Cup qualifiers for his country, while he has also turned out in a number of friendlies for Liverpool's development side.
