The January transfer window has now closed, leaving Manchester United to begin looking forward to the summer for their next round of recruitment.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.
Monday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Aston Villa 'to fend off Manchester United interest in Jack Grealish with £200k-a-week deal'
Aston Villa are reportedly preparing to offer Jack Grealish a contract worth in the region of £200,000 a week in order to convince the Englishman to commit his long-term future to the club.
The 25-year-old only signed a new £120,000-a-week deal at Villa Park last summer, and he has again been in impressive form this season, scoring seven times and contributing 12 assists in 22 outings in all competitions.
Manchester United were strongly linked with the England international last summer and are still thought to be interested in bringing him to Old Trafford at some stage in the future.
However, according to 90min, Villa's owners are preparing to fend off the 20-time English champions by offering Grealish a deal in the region of £200,000 a week.
Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City have also previously been linked with the playmaker, who has managed six goals and 12 assists in the Premier League this term.
Villa only just avoided relegation from the top flight in 2019-20 but are currently eighth in the Premier League table, just five points off fourth-placed Liverpool with a game in hand.
Manchester United 'leading the race for Nikola Milenkovic'
Manchester United are reportedly at the head of the queue for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
The 23-year-old joined La Viola from Partizan in 2017 and has made 118 appearances for the Italian giants in all competitions, including 22 outings during the 2020-21 campaign.
Milenkovic's contract is due to expire next summer, though, and it has been suggested that the Serbia international will not be penning an extension with his Serie A club.
Juventus and Inter Milan are among the teams to be credited with an interest, but according to La Repubblica, United are leading the race to sign him during this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that Milenkovic will be allowed to leave Cesare Prandelli's side for the right price ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, with the two-time Italian champions setting a value of €35m (£31m).
United have conceded 30 times in their 23 Premier League matches this season, including three in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Everton at Old Trafford.
