A frustrating summer transfer window has now closed with Manchester United having missed out on a number of their top targets, including Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils were busy on deadline day, though, bringing in Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, in addition to agreeing a deal to sign Amad Traore in January. Attention will now switch to other business they may do when the window reopens in the winter.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.
Saturday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United considering January move for Christian Eriksen?
Manchester United could reportedly launch a January move for Inter Milan attacker Christian Eriksen.
The Red Devils were strongly linked with the Denmark international earlier this year, but the playmaker ultimately left Tottenham Hotspur to join Inter on a contract until June 2024.
The 28-year-old has struggled to make his mark at San Siro, though, managing just four goals and three assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.
Eriksen - said to be valued at £18m by his Italian club - recently hinted that he could leave Inter during the January transfer window in search of more regular action, and according to The Mirror, United are eyeing a mid-season move.
The 20-time English champions allegedly held talks with Eriksen during the latter stages of the attacker's time at Tottenham, but the Red Devils ultimately missed out on his signature.
The former Ajax playmaker, who has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, scored 69 goals and registered 89 assists win 305 appearances for Spurs between 2013 and 2020.
Manchester United 'interested in signing Braga defender David Carmo'
Braga defender David Carmo has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United.
The 21-year-old, who was linked with Roma and Fiorentina during the summer transfer window, only made his Primeira Liga debut in January and has since appeared on 23 occasions in Portugal's top flight.
Carmo has missed Braga's last two league games through suspension but was a constant in the early stages of the 2020-21 campaign, already making eight appearances in all competitions.
According to ESPN, United are keen on the central defender, who helped Portugal's Under-19 side win the 2018 Under-19 European Championships.
The report, though, claims that the Red Devils would have to shift either Phil Jones or Marcos Rojo, who are both out of favour at Old Trafford, in order to move for Carmo.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side also continue to be linked with RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano.
