A frustrating summer transfer window has now closed with Manchester United having missed out on a number of their top targets, including Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils were busy on deadline day, though, bringing in Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, in addition to agreeing a deal to sign Amad Traore in January. Attention will now switch to other business they may do when the window reopens in the winter.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.
Wednesday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United miss out on AC Milan's Hakan Calhanoglu?
AC Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu is reportedly ready to snub interest from Manchester United and pen a new deal at San Siro.
With the Red Devils said to be in the market for a new creative midfielder amid doubts over Paul Pogba's future, Calhanoglu has been tipped to complete a switch to Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old only has six months left to run on his current deal with AC Milan, and talks over an extension were believed to have hit a wall over the past few weeks.
However, Tuttosport claim that Calhanoglu is now ready to commit his future to the Rossoneri, and the midfielder's representatives will fly to Italy this week in order to finalise the details.
The report claims that Milan were initially hesitant to fork out Calhanoglu's yearly salary demand of £5.5m, but the Turkey international is ready to accept £4m per season at San Siro to stay with the in-form Milan.
Calhanoglu has banked five goals and five assists for Stefano Pioli's men in all competitions this term, with Milan currently leading the way in Serie A.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'furious with Paul Pogba agent'
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was reportedly left furious with Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola following his transfer admission.
The midfielder's representative announced that Pogba's time at Old Trafford is "over" the night before United took on RB Leipzig in a crunch match in the Champions League.
The Red Devils lost that game 3-2, which confirmed their elimination from Europe's premier competition, and United have since been drawn against La Liga giants Real Sociedad in the Europa League last 32.
According to Sky Italia, Solskjaer was left seething with Raiola following the timing of his announcement, with Pogba playing just under half an hour of the Leipzig defeat as a substitute.
The report claims that the Red Devils are prepared to entertain offers for Pogba if he wishes to move on, but Solskjaer would have preferred Raiola's comments not to have come out during the season.
Pogba's agent also said that a deal to sell the World Cup-winning Frenchman in the summer would be more likely than an exit next month, with Pogba tied down to United until 2022.
