West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has urged his side to maintain the level of performance they showed against Tottenham Hotspur for this Saturday's clash against Manchester United.
The Hammers reached the League Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 win over Spurs on Wednesday night and Allardyce wants match winner Modibo Maiga to kick on having scored the important goal.
"We've not won as many league games as we should have done and that leaves everyone down so beating your rivals gives everyone a lift," he told BBC Sport.
"We need another performance like that. Hopefully Maiga's goal can kick him on, we've been needing someone to put a few goals in from the front and we hope he can go from here."
Saturday's game at Old Trafford kicks off at 3pm.
