Daley Blind has insisted that he is not overawed by his star-studded Manchester United teammates.
With a £13.8m price tag, Blind represented one of the cheaper signings by manager Louis van Gaal in a summer spending spree that totalled £150m, with Angel di Maria arriving for a British record £59.7m.
However, the 24-year-old refuses to be intimidated by his expensive teammates and believes that his self-confidence stems from time spent in Ajax's academy - nicknamed Amsterdamse bluf.
"I'm not a player United [paid a fortune for] like Di Maria," Blind told The Independent. "But that doesn't make me a shy boy in the dressing room and on the training pitch.
"Thanks to Amsterdamse bluf, we Ajax players have a natural self-confidence."
Blind has started four games for the Red Devils this season.
