Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner could miss the start of the Premier League season after seemingly picking up a hamstring injury during the club's 1-0 defeat to Singha All Star XI on Saturday.
The Dutchman, who started on the left side of defence in David Moyes's first game in charge of the Premier League champions, recently admitted that he wants to play more games for the Reds next season.
However, the 24-year-old's involvement in August could be in doubt after he picked up a hamstring injury in the first half of their pre-season match in Bangkok.
A single goal from Teeratep Winothai secured all three points for the home side.
