Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has insisted that he and his teammates are already looking ahead to their season opener against Swansea City on August 17.
Before the English champions get their 2013-14 Premier League campaign underway at the Liberty Stadium, they will take on AIK Fotboll in Sweden this evening ahead of Rio Ferdinand's testimonial on Friday.
The Red Devils will also face Wigan Athletic in the FA Community Shield at Wembley this Sunday.
"Now is the time when you really start thinking about that first game of the season," Carrick told the club's official website.
"We've been back from the main part of the tour for a few days now and everyone is focused on that first game."
While striker Wayne Rooney was expected to feature in tonight's friendly after overcoming a hamstring injury, the club confirmed that the England international will miss out with a shoulder problem.
